(MIAMI) – Janet Reno, the first woman to serve as U.S. Attorney General, is dead.
The 78-year-old Reno’s goddaughter says she died from complications of Parkinson’s disease early today.
Reno became Attorney General in 1993, shortly after former President Bill Clinton took office and appointed her as the nation’s chief law enforcement officer.
