(Cleveland, OH)  —  The Cubs are the World Series champions for the first time in 108 years.

Cubs manager Joe Maddon says it’s great to put the so-called curse behind them once and for all.

Series MVP Ben Zobrist and Miguel Montero drove in runs in the 10th inning and the Cubs hung on to beat the Indians 8-7 in the deciding Game Seven in Cleveland.

Chicago blew a 6-3 lead in the eighth before pulling out the win.

The Cubs overcame a three-games-to-one deficit in the best-of-seven Series to claim their first championship in over a century.

The Indians still haven’t won a World Series since 1948.
