Thousands of election workers are ready for an expected record turnout on the first day of early voting in Texas.

Dozens of early voter locations are open today in every major city.

Statewide, more than 15-million Texans have registered to vote, a new record.

Texas is under orders from a federal court to ensure that all voters, even ones without official identification, are allowed to cast ballots.

Anyone without one of seven accepted photo IDs will be asked to fill out a declaration that says there’s been a reasonable impediment to obtaining or possessing an ID.

Then, you must have an alternate form of identification like a utility bill, bank statement or government document.

Early voting will continue through November 4th.
