(Washington, DC) — Congress is overriding President Obama’s veto of a bill allowing 9-11 victims families to sue the Saudi government. Both the Senate and House passed their deciding votes on the matter today. It’s President Obama’s first veto override. Obama called the veto override a “mistake” and that it was a “political vote.” In a CNN town hall, he also said it could put American troops at risk for lawsuits.
