(Undated) — A report being released today says Texas leads the nation in most police officers killed in the line of duty since January.
The National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund says Texas is at the top of the list with fourteen officers killed this year, compared to twelve officers statewide in all of 2015.
July has been a particularly troubling month with five Dallas police officers killed by Micah Johnson. A Travis County sheriff’s sergeant was also murdered at his home in Round Rock earlier this week.
