(Austin, TX) — A back-room deal may be brewing between the University of Texas and the University of Houston over the Cougars’ desire to gain admission into the Big 12 Conference.
The “Austin American-Statesman” is reporting that UH supporters are telling UT that the Houston school would consider dropping its opposition to a UT expansion in Houston in exchange for a ticket into the Big 12.
Numerous state officials, including Governor Abbott, have already come out in support of UH gaining admission to the prestigious conference.
