One of four suspects who wittingly targeted an off-duty police officer on his way home in full uniform from another job is hospitalized in serious condition.
Houston police say he was shot late last night when he ran towards the officer’s car pointing a gun at him after the vehicle the suspects were in stopped in an apparent ambush attempt.
Investigators say the officer opened fire after identifying himself and ordering the suspect to stop.
The other three suspects are in custody.
