  • The rollout to a new email system at Texas Tech has begun, but some students say they are experiencing problems. A poll completed by The Hub@TTU showed 45 out of 55 students reported some type of issue with the new system, including missing messages, failed log-in attempts and lost contacts. Scott Hall, the managing director of Tech’s IT Help Central, said almost two-thirds of students are now on the new system and the rest of the student body expected to switch over within the next couple of weeks. Administrators say the biggest advantage of the new system is having access to Microsoft Office in a cloud system similar to Google Docs. Students will now have the ability to share and edit documents with study partners and groups.
