JaCorian Duffield set a record two weeks ago, and now he’s landed a spot on Team USA.
Duffield, who won the NCAA Outdoor high jump championship, secured his spot on the team in Eugene, Oregon on Friday, clearing 7-8 and taking home second place.
According to TexasTech.com, Duffield’s leap ties for the fifth-best clearance ever achieved by a collegiate athlete.
The IAAF World Championships take place in Beijing, China August 22-30.
