A motorcyclist died collided with a tractor-trailer and died Monday morning near West Loop 289, police confirmed. The motorcycle driver maintained a head injury, according to Lubbock Police. The crash was reported to Lubbock police just before 11 a.m. on the northbound access road near Frankford Avenue, according to Lubbock A-J.
Lubbock police officer Sgt. Robert Hook told the A-J that he received similar testimonies from witnesses about the crash and is not immediately clear what caused the crash or the severity of the injuries . Sgt. Hook also said he was not sure if the driver was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The name of the driver has not yet been released.
