The State Guard is going to be monitoring a federal military exercise happening in Texas. Governor Greg Abbott says Major General Jake Betty will provide regular updates to make sure Texans’ safety, constitutional rights, private property rights, and civil liberties won’t be infringed during Operation Jade Helm 15. The operation includes Green Berets, Navy SEALS, Air Force Special Operations Command, Marine Special Operation Command, and other units. They’ll be working in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado starting in July. Rumors on the Internet suggested the operation is a step towards martial law.
