NBA Free Agency Officially Begins

July 10, 2014 — The NBA’s moratorium period is over and free agents can be officially signed.

None of the big name free agents have made announcements yet.  The “New York Daily News” did report Carmelo Anthony will re-sign with the Knicks and is expected to reveal the decision today.

Reports have LeBron James still deciding between the Heat and the Cavaliers.  If James decides to go to Cleveland, ESPN says Chris Bosh will sign with the Rockets, but that report was disputed by NBA.com’s David Aldridge.

Early this morning, the Raptors agreed to a contract with guard Kyle Lowry and the Clippers signed Spencer Hawes and Jordan Farmar.

Restricted free agent Chandler Parsons also signed an expensive offer sheet with the Dallas Mavericks, but the Houston Rockets have three days to match that deal.
