Artist to Install Latest Public Art Piece on Texas Tech Campus
WHAT: Artist Owen Morrel will be on campus to oversee the installation of his sculpture, “Astrolabe.”
WHEN: Wednesday-Friday, (June 18-20)
WHERE: Experimental Sciences Building Courtyard

EVENT: The latest installment to the public art program, “Astrolabe,” will be installed in the courtyard west of the Experimental Sciences Building. Morrel will be available to discuss the stainless steel and painted aluminum sculpture, and Public Art Manager Emily Wilkinson will also be available for comment.
The installation will begin Wednesday morning and is expected to be completed by Friday. The art piece will arrive assembled and will be lifted into place with a crane.
