(Fort Worth, TX) — Attorneys for a brain-dead pregnant Fort Worth woman say her fetus is “distinctly abnormal.”
Marlise Munoz has been on life support since Thanksgiving, when she was found unconscious in her home. Her family has been trying to get her removed from life support, but doctors wouldn’t allow it due to a state law saying life-sustaining treatment can’t be removed from a pregnant woman.
Munoz’ attorneys say the baby is so deformed doctors don’t know what gender it is.
Munoz’ family is hoping a judge will order doctors to remove her from life support. A hearing is scheduled for Friday.
