Alright folks, Christmas music is always a big topic of discussion. People either absolutely adore it or vehemently despise it. I am one of the people that really love it, although in moderation. From December 1st to 25th I can’t only listen to Christmas music. I have to mix it up and throw it in to my playlists depending on how I am feeling on a certain day. With the emergence of Christmas compilations and modern covers of Christmas classics, it has been easier to transition from “old world” holiday music to something a little funkier. Here are my favorite Christmas tunes…
1. Bobby Helms & The Anita Kerr Singers – “Jingle Bell Rock”
2. Burl Ives – “A Holly Jolly Christmas”
3. Brenda Lee – “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree”
4. The Drifters – “White Christmas”
5. Eartha Kitt – “Santa Baby”
6. Bing Crosby – “Winter Wonderland”
7. Aaron Neville – “Please Come Home For Christmas”
8. Andy Williams – “It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year”
9. Johnny Cash – “Blue Christmas”
10. Louis Armstrong – “Christmas In New Orleans”
11. Robert Earl Keen – “Merry Christmas From The Family”
12. Otis Redding – “White Christmas”
13. Bruce Springsteen – “Santa Clause Is Coming To Town”
14. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers – “Christmas All Over Again”
15. Darlene Love – “All I Want For Christmas Is You”
16. Bing Crosby – “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”
