The Dallas Stars lost to the St. Louis Blues 6-1 Saturday night. Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko scored the game winner with 8:58 remaining in the first period. The Stars Defenseman Brenden Dillon scored at 9:07 left in the first period.
The Blues center Vladimir Sobotka scored the first goal with 18:21 left in the first period. The Blues captain David Backes scored with 14:04 left in the second period. Former Star current Blues center Derek Roy scored 50 seconds into the third period on the power play. Blues forward Chris Stewart scored with 14:21 left in the game. Blues forward T.J. Oshie scored with 9:58 remaining in the third period.
The Stars outshot the Blues 35-25. Stars goalie Kari Lethonen made 13 saves of 18 shots. Stars backup goalie Dan Ellis allowed one goal out of seven shots. Blues goalie Brian Elliott stopped 34 shots out of 35 opportunities.
Former Stars captain Brenden Morrow was able to get an assist in the game off of Stewarts’ goal. This game ended the Stars six game winning streak on the road. Blues enforcer Ryan Reaves was injured in a fight with Stars Dillon in the first period.
