The Dallas Stars were victorious against the Anaheim Ducks 6-3 Tuesday night. Stars forward Ryan Garbutt scored the game winning goal with 14:48 remaining in the game. Garbutts’ goal was part of the offensive breakout for the Stars which players center Cody Eakin, defenseman Stephane Robidas, and Garbutt scored 3 goals in a span of 53 seconds in the third period.
The Ducks forward Emerson Etem scored with 14:48 left in the first period. The Ducks center Nick Bonino picked up a goal with 36 seconds left in the second period. Ducks forward Dustin Penner scores a power play goal with 7:35 remaining in the game.
Stars enforcer Antoine Roussel scored two goals in the game. The first goal came at 13:13 in the second period and his second goal came with 8:42 left in the game. Stars rookie Alex Chiasson scored an empty net goal with 59 seconds left in the game.
Stars goalie Dan Ellis made 28 saves in the game. Ducks goalie Jonas Hiller made 27 saves out of 32 tries.
Stars center Vernon Fiddler forward Erik Cole, and Garbutt all registered two assists in the game. The Stars checking line of Fiddler, Garbutt, and Roussel are named the first three stars of the game.
