An area of area of high pressure that has brought west Texas above normal temperatures, dry weather, and light winds, will slowly begin to weaken and push eastward over the weekend. The only real affect of this subtle pattern change will be a slight reduction in afternoon temperatures, and higher moisture levels.
‘Game Day Saturday’ will begin comfortably, with temperatures in the upper 60’s, to near 70, under mostly clear skies. But, temperatures will warm quickly through tailgating and peak just above the 90° mark by mid-afternoon.
By kickoff, temps will be in the upper 80’s, under partly cloudy skies. An isolated shower, or two, cannot be ruled out through sunset. However, chances of the game being underneath one of these thundershowers are remote. Temps will cool after sunset and approach the lower 80’s by the final play.
Great weather continues into Sunday!
