Showers This Weekend?

Moisture has been on the increase across west Texas the past couple of days. Due to the increase, showers, and even a few thunderstorms, were able to develop Friday afternoon. As moisture continues to ‘pump’ into the state from the Gulf Of Mexico, shower chances will continue through, at least, Saturday.

While not severe, a few of the storms that develop Saturday afternoon could produce frequent lightning, 40-45 MPH wind gusts, and brief heavy rain. Because of the number of outdoor activities occurring this weekend, it will be especially important to know when and where storms are occurring. A good tool to use is radar, which can be found for free at http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=lbb

The highest chance for rain will be during the afternoon, with storms tapering off during the evening and overnight.
