After a soggy few days, the strong storm system which caused heavy rainfall earlier in the week, has moved west of the area. However, the storm system dropped anywhere between one to six inches of rain on portions of the South Plains. Lubbock reported over 2 inches of rain, on Wednesday alone!
Heading into the weekend, high pressure will attempt to build into Texas. This means that rain chances will be decreasing, while temperatures increase. Highs will be in the lower 90’s both Saturday and Sunday, under partly cloudy skies. There is still a very slight chance of isolated, late day, thundershowers.
Another storm system could affect our area late next week. In the meantime, enjoy the sunshine!
