Thunderstorm chances will stay in the forecast, until around sunrise Monday. Western portions of the south plains have the best chance of rainfall.
By Monday morning, storms will give way to partly cloudy skies. High temperatures will be quite warm; in the 90’s across Lubbock. Southerly winds will be out of the south and east. A few gusts could exceed 30 mph by lunch time.
There will likely be a few more thunderstorms Monday afternoon. Storms will be isolated with only very light rainfall.
Hot weather returns Tuesday, with high temperatures over 100 degrees!
