It’s going to be a very warm, almost summer-like, week across the South Plains. Monday has started on the cool side, with temperatures in the 50’s. But, temperatures will soar into the mid 80’s by this afternoon. Skies will remain mostly clear, with only a few highs clouds by late in the day.
Winds will turn more westerly this afternoon and increase to 10-20 mph, a few gusts exceeding 25 mph are possible. Chances for precipitation are very low today, and any storm that does manage to develop will stay east of Lubbock.
Even hotter conditions are expected by the end of the week!
