Book Signing with Texas Tech Alumna Nita Gibson

WHAT:           Book Signing with Nita Gibson

WHEN:           4 p.m. Thursday (May 2)

WHERE:         Texas Tech Southwest Collection/Special Collections Library, Formby Room

EVENT:          Texas Tech University Libraries will host a book signing with alumna Nita Gibson. Gibson’s recent book, “That Cotton Pickin’ Woman: How One Lady Farmed Farmers, Politicked Politicians and Made a Difference,” describes her efforts to help farmers nationwide over a period of several years. She has testified 23 times to agriculture committees in the House or Senate.

Texas Tech Chancellor Kent Hance wrote the forward, and Gibson will present him with a copy after he makes some brief remarks at the start of the book signing.
