Tuesday’s Forecast

Temperatures will begin in the 50’s across the city of Lubbock, under partly cloudy skies. Winds will be breezy to start the day, only growing stronger through the afternoon. After 1PM, gusts over 40 mph and areas of blowing dust are expected. Temperatures will be mild, though not nearly as warm as Monday’s high of 89°. Afternoon highs in the low and mid 70’s appear likely.

A strong late-season cold front will enter the South Plains Tuesday evening, moving through the Lubbock metro between 7 and 10PM. Much colder temperatures, another round of strong winds, and a slight chance of a wintry mix can be expected shortly behind this front.
