Monday Severe Weather Threat

After a break from thunderstorm activity on Easter, it appears that storms will enter the forecast once again, by this fternoon. Large hail will be the main threat, with a lesser chance of damaging winds and an isolated tornado. Storms will likely pop-up between 2-4 PM, and not clear the area until mid evening.

Areas north and east of Lubbock have the best chance for severe weather this afternoon. Stay tuned to KTXT on the radio (88.1FM), Facebook (Facebook.com/TheRaider), and Twitter (@TheRaider881) for severe weather updates throughout the day.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed the northeastern South Plains under a ‘Slight Risk’ for severe weather this afternoon.
