Yesterday, “The Music Is You: A Tribute To John Denver”, was released on Rocky Mountain Merchandise Records. John Denver was a former student at Texas Tech and the compilation features an array of independent artists such as J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.), My Morning Jacket, Josh Ritter, Blind Pilot, Sharon Van Etten, and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, all paying tribute to the late artist. You can hear several of these songs on KTXT.
