The heat looks to continue through Saturday, before a weak ‘back-door’ cold front moves in from the northeast early Saturday evening. Behind this front, highs will cool back into the 70s. Even cooler air will filter into the South Plains to start the week, with Lubbock staying in the 60’s on Monday. However, no precipitation is expected with this front.
