Tuesday’s weather is going to be quite a shock to the system, following a cold front that moved through the South Plains on Monday evening. In its wake, temperatures on Tuesday morning will be in the 20’s and lower 30’s! Winds between 10-20 mph will make it feel even colder; teens and lower 20′ for just about everyone.
Grab those jackets before you head out the door and keep them handy throughout the day. Highs will likely only reach the middle 50’s in Lubbock. Winds will diminish by late afternoon, but still add to the chill in the air. Though, skies will remain mostly sunny through your Tuesday, which could mitigate the cold factor.
This cold shot will not last very long, as we’ll be back near 70° by late in the week.
