After a cool start to Saturday, Saturday afternoon will begin a general warming trend that will likely last into the beginning of the work-week! Skies will remain mostly clear, through the first half of Sunday. However, an approaching storm system will bring a dramatic increase in cloud cover by Sunday afternoon; lasting into Monday. Some of the most recent forecast models are even showing the possibility of light rain on Monday morning, with the eastern South Plains having the best chance of receiving any precipitation. It also appears that temperatures will be too warm to support anything but rain!
While rain is desperately needed across the state, it could mess with your Monday morning commute. Though, at the moment it appears to be light and will clear the area by Monday afternoon. I’ll have a more detailed look at Monday’ rain chances by Sunday evening.
Have a great weekend,
