Tuesday will be another fair day across the South Plains, with winds staying relatively light throughout the day. High temperatures will soar towards the 70 degree mark; even after a cold start to the day. Fair weather looks to continue through Thursday,  though a few models shows more clouds and maybe even some light precipitation just to the south of the South Plains.

Forecast models are all still showing a vigorous storm system approaching the Southern Plains by Saturday night. Severe storms and heavy rainfall are possible just to our east. Across the South Plains, things may become more interesting as we are placed on the ‘back-side’ of this area of low pressure. We could even be talking about wintry weather by  Sunday night. As always, models are having trouble with this storm system. Though, more data should be entered into them over the next few days; hopefully leading to more accurate depictions later this week.

Stay Tuned,

Cutter Martin (KTXT Weather)
