The clouds have cleared for good! Well, for several days at least. The large storm system responsible for the well below normal temperatures and clouds the past several days pummeled New England with a significant snowfall on Thursday. In its wake, high pressure has moved into the Southern Plains. High pressure is typically associated with calm weather, which will certainly be the case for our area over the next five days or so.
Thursday morning will begin cold. Though, Lubbock will start the day in the mid 20’s vs. the upper teens of the pat few mornings. With abundant sunshine, high temperatures will top out in the lower 50’s. If the weather didn’t already sound great; the winds will be calm too!
Due to the calm winds and mostly clear skies, Thursday night will be yet another cold one across the entire area. Mid 20’s are likely for Lubbockites as they begin their Friday!
Best,
Cutter Martin (KTXT weather)
