So far, Saturday has been very nice. Temperatures across the South Plains are in the mid and upper 50’s as we head into early afternoon. Even with gradually increasing cloud cover, Lubbock should reach an afternoon high in the mid-60’s later today. Winds will be fairly light, though will increase by tonight as a storm system approaches from the west.
This same storm system will combine with moisture across west Texas to produce scattered showers and maybe even a thunderstorm beginning this evening. Chances for rain will be highest overnight tonight into the first half of Sunday. It appears that not every one will see rain and those who do will only receive light amounts. Sunday will begin warm as well, with Lubbock starting Sunday morning in the mid-40’s. Temperatures will only get warmer by Sunday afternoon!
I’ll have a more detailed look at your Sunday forecast later tonight,
