Friday morning will again be cold, with even a light breeze making it feel like the upper teens as you head out the door. Fortunately, a warming trend is the theme of Friday’s forecast! Friday afternoon highs will be in the mid 60’s across the South Plains; except for northeastern areas, where afternoon temperatures may be stuck in the 50’s.
High clouds on Friday morning may persist through the early afternoon, though a general clearing trend is expected. Winds will remain breezy; with gusts approaching 20 mph by mid-afternoon. If skies remain mostly clear and winds calm down on Friday evening, Saturday morning could be another chilly one following the passage of a weak cold front on Friday evening.
No precipitation is expected for the next several days and after a slight cool down on Saturday; high temperatures will approach 70° by the middle of next week.
