Good morning,
After a chilly morning in the mid to upper 20’s, Sunday afternoon temperatures should climb into the mid 40’s by 4 PM. Clouds will be on the increase through the day, with overcast conditions expected shortly after the noon hour. Along with an increase in clouds, precipitation will develop south and west of the Lubbock area and move in by sunset. Sleet may mix in with the rain from time to time, especially across areas northwest of Lubbock. In town, it should be mostly rain overnight Sunday into Monday morning, though as temperatures slowly fall through the night, rain could briefly change over to freezing rain before sunrise on Monday; only if precipitation lingers across the area when temperatures fall to the freezing mark. Lows Sunday night will be in the lower 30’s in town, with upper 20’s likely across northern areas.
