LUBBOCK – Major traffic changes take effect today on areas northwest Loop 289 as part of a $26.9 million project funded by the state.
Starting today, TxDOT crews will begin construction on the frontage road between Quaker and Erskine Avenues to convert it to one-way access. Traffic on Quaker and TTU Parkway will be reduced to one lane during the construction.
Erskine will also be closed from the frontage road to Salem Avenue. Main lane traffic on the loop will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
