Merry Christmas,
A band of moderate snow has set up across the city of Lubbock; with amounts nearing an inch being reported across areas close to and inside the loop. This band of snow appeared to be weakening 30 minutes ago, though most recent radar images show more snow developing across the Panhandle and northern South Plains; rotating around an area of low pressure and moving towards the Lubbock. Temperatures in the mid 20’s, winds of 20-35 mph, and snow will be the highlights of today’s weather.Total snowfall accumulations of 1-3 inches are likely, with northern portions of the South Plains receiving the highest amounts by late this afternoon
Stay safe out there,
Cutter Martin (KTXT Weather)
