After another widespread hard freeze across the South Plains, temperatures will quickly warm through the day today. By mid-afternoon the Lubbock area reach its afternoon high, in the upper 50’s. Mostly sunny skies will again be the rule across the area and while breezy, winds will be much lighter today; generally running between 10-15 mph. Tuesday night will be another chilly one, with lows expected to fall into the middle 20’s in Lubbock by Wednesday morning, under continued clear skies and light winds.
