While today ended up being sunnier and slightly warmer than expected (high of 65° at Tech) clouds will undoubtedly thicken through the night with light rain showers possible by tomorrow morning. Rainfall amounts should remain light, with southern portions of our area (areas south of a Morton to Lubbock to Idalou line) having the best chance of receiving meaningful rainfall.Even with thick clouds rain showers around, high temperatures should still top out in the mid 60’s with breezy southwesterly winds. Sunday night will be cool (but above average) with lows around 40° under clearing skies and light winds in Lubbock.
The weather will clear out and warm up drastically for the beginning of next week!
Have a great rest of your weekend,
Cutter Martin (KTXT Weather)
