Both the Lubbock and Texas Tech Police Departments are warning locals to be especially cautious this holiday season. Authorities are warning residents near Texas Tech to be cautious after a string of residential burglaries in the Overton area. General safety measures are recommended, including keeping all doors and windows locked and avoiding poorly lit areas. Residents are also encouraged to immediately report any suspicious activity in their area. If you have any information on recent suspicious activity, contact Crime Line at 741-1000. For on campus emergencies, students can call 9-911 from any campus land-line. Non emergency reports can be made by calling 806-742-3931.
